I’m Stephanie, the owner and stylist behind Gypsy Cosmo—a salon built around creativity, individuality, and being unapologetically yourself.
My story is a little different. I was born in Romania to a Gypsy family and was adopted into America as a baby. Growing up in Colorado, I found my own way to connect with the creativity, individuality, and free spirit that have always felt like a part of who I am. That journey eventually led me to hair—and ultimately to creating Gypsy Cosmo.
Hair as self-expression
Expression. Confidence. Transformation.
For me, hair has never been just about making someone “look good.” It’s about expression, confidence, transformation, and becoming the person you’ve always wanted to see in the mirror.
I studied at the Aveda Institute, where I built the professional foundation that eventually grew into the creative, highly individualized work I do today.
I love creating everything from bold fashion colors and edgy cuts to dimensional blondes and completely custom transformations.
My inspiration comes from everywhere: goth, punk, hippie, glam, cottagecore, rainbows, music, art, and all the wonderfully weird things that make life interesting. I don’t believe there’s one right way to have beautiful hair. I believe your hair should reflect you.

A safe, welcoming, judgment-free space.
Gypsy Cosmo is a safe, welcoming, judgment-free space. I want every person who walks through my door to feel comfortable being exactly who they are. All genders, identities, orientations, backgrounds, styles, and walks of life are welcome here.
But let’s be clear: acceptance goes both ways. Racism, homophobia, transphobia, hate, harassment, Nazi ideology, or discrimination of any kind have no place in my salon. If you believe someone deserves less respect because of who they are, Gypsy Cosmo is not the salon for you.
This is a space where we celebrate individuality—not a space for judging it.
